PMARC: Precision Motion
and Resistance Cube.

A compact biomechanical dynamometer and adjustable strengthening device for the hand and wrist. Built to measure force and motion, then stream every rep to a companion app.

The Cube

A strength-tracking and training device that fits in your palm.

PMARC began as a NASA Space Grant funded research project for astronaut resistance training, where long stretches in microgravity erode muscle and bone. Now an independent project, that same precision drives what it does best on the ground: hand and wrist strength training and rehabilitation. An embedded module captures force, repetition, and range of motion, turning every squeeze into data you can use.

01

Adjustable

In version 1

Resistance tunes across a wide range, so a single cube carries someone from a gentle warm up all the way to full training load as their grip comes back.

02

Builds strength

In version 1

Every turn works against the resistance inside the cube, training the fingers, hand, and wrist together in one small, repeatable movement you can do anywhere.

03

Measures force

Coming soon

A calibrated load path reads the force of every squeeze in newtons, captured continuously rep after rep, so progress shows up as a number you can trust.

04

Tracks motion

Coming soon

An onboard motion sensor follows the orientation and range of motion of the hand and wrist, so you see how you really moved, not just how hard you went.

The App

Every rep, on your phone.

The companion app connects to the cube wirelessly, shows the live force reading, records timed sessions with peak and average force, and exports the data as CSV for later analysis. Clean, fast, and built around the numbers that matter.

Note: the first production cube is the adjustable trainer only. Force sensing and app pairing arrive with the next version of the cube.
